Thomas S. Rosenbaum, Ph.D.
Dr. Rosenbaum has practiced clinical psychology since 1970 and has been licensed in Michigan since 1978 when state licensing came into effect. He has varied experience in hospital settings, outpatient clinics (both private and community mental health), industrial clinics, and in a Federal Correctional Institutions. He has been in private practice since 1974 performing and supervising psychological evaluations, providing psychotherapy, mental status evaluations and consultation with other agencies.
Dr Rosenbaum is the founder and CEO of Therasupport, LLC a traumatic brain injury rehabilitation facility providing outpatient and supported -independent living services to the community.
Dr. Rosenbaum provides psychotherapy and overall supervision of administrative and clinical staff.
He received his Doctoral Degree from West Virginia University in 1972 in Clinical Psychology with a focus on community psychology, statistics and research. Dr. Rosenbaum has experience and training in neurofeedback, various psychotherapy modalities, neuropsychological evaluations, neuroscience, and group modalities. He has work experience and training in substance abuse treatment and assessment. He supervises several Masters’ Degree psychologists and graduate students as well as professional staff at Therasupport.
He is actively involved in the Michigan Psychological Association, as well as the Washtenaw Psychological Society, Michigan Brain Injury Association and CPAN.
He enjoys an avocation of art/painting and has exhibited widely in the area.
Dr. Rosenbaum has a behavioral and humanistic approach to treatment and evaluations with a client-centered approach.
